Which one should you focus on?
Which will give you the biggest and quickest return for your buck?
You’re going to hate this answer, but it’s really the only honest one I can give you –
It depends.
(Believe me, I’m no fan of “it depends” especially when it comes to figuring out how to win in sparring and grappling in my Krav Maga classes…)
And,
If my Google+ stardom is any proof, each one of these tactics will work if you stick with it long enough.
Heck, I remember having John Lee Dumas on my Hangout show when he JUST launched Entrepreneur on Fire 9 years ago…
…and one of my audience members asking him – how in the hell are you going to monetize this “podcast thing”?
And look at him 9 years later.. not only has he figured out how to monetize it, each one of the tactics he talked about implementing back then is bringing in big bucks today.
All it took was sticking with it for that long…
So that’s the obvious news.
The hardest part in all of this is deciding
WHICH tactic to stick with…right?
Back then, John turned down a sponsorship offer because it didn’t fit with his overall brand.

How did John know when to change his mind and pivot?
it’s easy to think that he’s just this super smart business man that has it all figured out, but let me tell you a secret…
No one has it all figured out.
That’s why we see the most successful people posting about all the meetings, masterminds and retreats they’re on with their peers…
and if you notice,
that’s why you see the same people supporting each other in all the big events and virtual Challenges..
I don’t blame them. I do the same thing.
Why?
Cuz it works.
Success leaves clues and successful people don’t try to figure it all out on their own, they reach out to their network and brainstorm.
My own coach calls it – not being able to see your own headlights
I think that’s what makes it harder for most people to gain any traction –
they’re trying to do it alone.
And that’s just too hard…isn’t it?
results don’t come in as fast as the shiny object’s promise, self doubt creeps in, you lose focus and sometimes even forget why you started the whole thing in the first place.
Who can you talk to?
I’ve hired many coaches in my life time and I’ve almost lost faith in coaching all together because every coach I talked to felt like they had to be smarter than me when in fact, all I needed was someone to bounce ideas off to come up with the best strategy for what I was trying to achieve right there and then…
But they felt that they had to show how smart they were…and how much I needed them to have me stick around..
